Bills in November, Playoff Bound?

Anyone who has passing knowledge knows this generation’s Bills aren’t well Acquainted with the playoffs. The only 2 franchise playoff appearances this millennia were 18 years apart; a drought that saw over a dozen starting quarterbacks, and plenty coaching changes. In those 18 years, we saw LaDainian Tomlinson drafted, retire, and subsequently inducted into the Hall of Fame.

We’re 8-3. We are officially not a losing team this season, and before Thanksgiving. Excluding Baltimore and New England, we have the best record in the AFC. Currently holding the 1st wildcard spot, Bills are 2 games up on the next closest competition.

Our relevant competition: Pittsburgh, Tennessee, Oakland, Cleveland. Except Cleveland (5-6) each are 6-5. Assuming worst case scenario, Bills finish 8-8, they finish 10-6/11-5. Here we miss the playoff. Best case, we finish 13-3, probably winning the division.

The Bills schedule is a bit more challenging than originally anticipated. This Thursday, Dallas. Next week, Baltimore. I will safely presume 2 losses. The last 3 are Pittsburgh, New England, and the Jets. Pittsburgh is the crucial game. A safe bet would see the bills finishing 10-6.

10-6. We make the playoffs.
